KINGSTON, R.I. – April 27, 2026 – The vlogBվ will mark the end of the semester Tuesday, April 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with the president’s annual campus-wide celebration on the University Quadrangle.

The event is designed to be welcoming, engaging, and reflective of the interests of the entire vlogBվ community. Each year a large number of students participate and look forward to the event.

“This is one of my favorite ways to celebrate the end of the semester and our collective achievements,” said President Marc Parlange. “It’s wonderful to be able to come together for an afternoon of well-deserved fun and relaxation that recognizes students, faculty, and staff for all their hard work, and all they have contributed to our University over the past year.”

Photos with Rhody the Ram, lawn games, senior cap-decorating, a mechanical surfboard, Peckham Farm’s petting zoo, and the Rhode Island National Guard’s rock-climbing wall are just some of the activities attendees will enjoy. There will also be complimentary food and beverages, ranging from the Department of Public Safety team’s hot dogs to beverage samples provided by the Dunkin’ Donuts truck.

Madi Connors, of student group Exercise is Medicine, has planned the Big College Field Day portion of the celebration, which will feature classic field day activities such as tug-of-war, potato sack races, limbo, egg on a spoon races, and more.
