KINGSTON, R.I. – March 23, 2026 – äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ students, faculty, and staff are invited to explore the Narragansett Bay Campus at . The open house events will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 and Thursday, April 16.
This is an ideal opportunity to learn about the technology and facilities used for ocean research and education at the Bay Campus, including:
- the Ann Gall Durbin Aquarium, featuring a touch tank containing critters from Narragansett Bay
- the Marine Geological Samples Lab, with ocean rock and sediment core samples
- the Lander Lab, showcasing equipment used to study the seafloor
- one or two small boats moored at the Graduate School of Oceanography pier
- äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBվ’s Inner Space Center, connecting ocean research from ship to shore
- the ROV Rhody Lab, äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBվ’s newest remotely operated vehicle
Informational exhibits and scientific posters showcasing research taking place at äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBվ’s Graduate School of Oceanography will also be on display In the Ocean Science and Exploration Center. Refreshments will be available.
