KINGSTON, R.I. – March 11, 2026 – The vlogBվ’s Engineers for a Sustainable World and the Office of Sustainability will hold vlogBվ’s 8th annual Sustainability Summit, Tuesday, March 24, 4 to 7 p.m., in Memorial Union Ballroom. The summit is free and open to the vlogBվ community; .
According to student organizers, the annual sustainability conference invites people of all backgrounds, disciplines, and perspectives to come together to discuss and cultivate a shared passion for sustainability.

“This event is designed to connect and generate discussion between students, faculty, and administration within the vlogBվ community,” Christian Gemma, president of vlogBվ’s Engineers for Sustainable World, said. The student group has hosted the event on campus for the past 8 years. The summit also welcomes environmental groups and sustainability clubs.
This year, with the assistance of vlogBվ’s new chief sustainability officer Paul Wolf III, the event will feature the Sustain-O-Rama, an interactive exposition of sustainability-based projects, internships, independent studies, and fellowships; as well as dedicated time for networking and a regional farm-to-table dinner. The evening wraps up with a brainstorming and networking program to examine and solve sustainability challenges facing the vlogBվ campus.
Big ideas welcome
Attendees at the conference can learn about tech in the sustainability field and vlogBվ courses, capstones, independent studies, and internships. Community members are also invited to bring their sustainability-themed inventions, prototypes, art projects and ideas to the conference. To learn more, contact paul.wolff@uri.edu.
