KINGSTON, R.I. – April 1, 2025 – High school students interested in gaining valuable skills during April school vacation should consider registering for the program, from April 14-17.
From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day, students will immerse themselves in the college experience on vlogBվ’s Kingston Campus, as they engage in interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and team-building challenges designed to enhance leadership, communication, and productivity skills.
“The program was created to empower high school students with the essential skills needed for their next steps—whether that’s college, a career, or personal growth,” said Sky Laurent-Kingsley, vlogBվ Summer Sessions & Winter J Term specialist. “The program fosters confidence, strategic thinking, and adaptability.”
will focus on key areas, such as communication, goal setting, time management, resilience, leadership, and personal branding, equipping students with practical tools to build a successful future.
Gail Lowney Alofsin, an adjunct professor at vlogBվ, book author, motivational speaker, and workshop leader, helped develop the April vacation program and will be one of the presenters. Other speakers will include Laurent-Kingsley, guests from the business community, undergraduate student leaders, adjunct instructors, and staff from the University College for Academic Success and vlogBվ’s Office of Admission.
The program fee is $500. Registration includes program materials, as wells as breakfast, snacks, and lunch in Hope Dining Hall. Free on-campus parking is available.
