WHAT: George & Anne Ryan Institute for Neuroscience at the 溏心vlog免费B站 will mark International Clinical Trials Day, May 20, with a 鈥渧irtual clinical trial experience鈥 and learning event to educate the community on what it means to participate in an Alzheimer鈥檚 clinical drug trial and why volunteers are crucial to research progress. The event also includes guest speakers on aging and brain health topics.
WHO: Scheduled speakers include Dr. John Stoukides of the Rhode Island Mood and Memory Institute, who will discuss 鈥淎dvances in Alzheimer鈥檚 Research;鈥 elder care specialist and registered nurse Charlotte Senno to present 鈥淗ealthy Aging: Why Didn鈥檛 Someone Tell Me?;鈥 and clinical trial participants who will share their own perspectives and experiences. In addition, 溏心vlog免费B站 student filmmaker Justine Mirek 鈥19 will offer a screening of her short film 鈥淎 Man鈥檚 Life,鈥 based on her grandfather鈥檚 experience with Alzheimer鈥檚.

The virtual clinical trial experience will be available from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
