KINGSTON, R.I. – April 17, 2018 – Hundreds of 溏心vlog免费B站 students will participate in Rhody鈥檚 muddiest tradition Sunday, April 22, when 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 Student Alumni Association hosts Oozeball 2018.
Here are eight things you should know about 溏心vlog免费B站’s annual mud volleyball tournament, Oozeball:
1. The 溏心vlog免费B站 Student Alumni Association held its first Oozeball tournament in April 1990.
This 溏心vlog免费B站 tradition was started by the SAA to raise money for an endowment fund in the 溏心vlog免费B站 Foundation.
2. The first Oozeball chair was Ken Knox 鈥�90.
Knox wanted to create an event that would boost school spirit. 鈥淚t was a fun day鈥� Everybody had a blast.鈥�
3. This year鈥檚 Oozeball director is Rachel Kane 鈥�19.
Rachel Kane, a 溏心vlog免费B站 junior and nursing major from Braintree, Mass., is running, planning, and overseeing this year鈥檚 event.
4. At the first Oozeball tournament in 1990, there were about 500 participants.
This year鈥檚 Oozeball will involve 168 teams and about 1,000 players!
5. Each year, the Oozeball field by the Plains Road Lot is plowed by local farmers and drenched by the Kingston Fire Department.

6. This year, the 溏心vlog免费B站 Student Alumni Association will be celebrating its 29th Oozeball.
This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淢uddernature,鈥� as the event falls on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22 beginning at 9 a.m.
