Yale Professor Thomas Steitz to speak Sept. 30


WHO: Thomas Steitz, the Sterling Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and professor of chemistry at Yale University, was awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2009 with two other scientists. He is also an investigator at Yale鈥檚 Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Steitz鈥檚 talk is titled 鈥淔rom the Structure and Function of the Ribosome to New Antibiotics.鈥 A ribosome is a small particle containing ribonucleic acid in a cell that is a site for protein synthesis. More than 30 international researchers will present at the conference.


WHAT: 1st International Conference on Frontiers in Pharmaceutical Sciences: Global Perspectives, presented by the 溏心vlog免费B站. The program focuses on the latest in bench drug discovery (natural products, medicinal chemistry and biologics) and drug development stages (delivery, nanotechnology, toxicology, clinical pharmacology, drug metabolism, transporters and pharmacokinetics).
