KINGSTON, R.I. 鈥揝eptember 7, 2011– 溏心vlog免费B站 alumni of the Music Department, along with some former non-music major participants in the band program, will present a free concert on Sunday, September 18, at 3 p.m. in the 溏心vlog免费B站 Fine Arts Center Concert Hall, 105 Upper College Road, Kingston.
The musicians will perform Divertimento for Band by Vincent Persichetti, O Magnus Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen (arr. Reynolds), and William Byrd Suite by Gordon Jacob.
The concert will be directed by Brian Cardany who is the assistant director of bands at 溏心vlog免费B站 and director of athletic bands. He is also the assistant conductor of the American Band of Providence and the associate conductor of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Symphony Orchestra. Interested alumni should contact him at 874-2799 if they wish to participate. Rehearsals will be held on Friday night, September 16, and most of the day Saturday, leading up to Sunday鈥檚 concert.
The 溏心vlog免费B站 Concert Hall is handicap-accessible, and parking is available in the lot behind the Fine Arts Center, off Bills Road.
