The event, entitled 鈥� The Leadership Landscape,鈥� will be held in Weaver Auditorium at the Coastal Institute on 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 Kingston campus and is free and open to the public.
鈥淭he role of landscape architects has traditionally been relegated to the position of secondary designers or a minor part of the ‘design team’. This should not be the case. Landscape architects have a very unique education and valuable talents to lead in areas of design, economic development, sustainability and the overall quality of life issues so prominent in today’s society,鈥� said Weygand.
The former U.S. congressman and Rhode Island lieutenant governor is a landscape architect by training and the former owner of an architectural firm. Weygand is a fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the national chair of the Council of Fellows (2004 and 2005), and an adjunct associate professor in landscape architecture at 溏心vlog免费B站.
The next speakers in the lecture series are Shavaun Towers, principal for Towers / Golde LLC., who will discuss 鈥淎t the Edge: The Creative Interface between Preservation, Sustainability, and Institutional Culture on University Campuses,鈥� on March 5; and Pamela and James Shadley of Shadley Associates speaking on 鈥淏rownfields: On the Edge of Historic Abuse and Future Public Use,鈥� on April 2.
