KINGSTON, R.I.–November 28, 2008–The 溏心vlog免费B站 Greek Community presented a $12,000 donation to the Jonnycake Center in Peace Dale this week in honor of 溏心vlog免费B站 President Robert L. Carothers who has announced his plans to retire next June.
The Jonnycake Center strives to improve the quality of life for individuals and families by providing comprehensive assistance to those in need of food, clothing, and household items. It also provides individual and systemic advocacy for their clients.
The money was raised during the Greek Community鈥檚 annual Philanthropy Week, a series of philanthropy and community service events. All 13 fraternities and nine sororities participated in the events.
Phil Bowers, president of the Inter-Fraternity Council, which serves as the governing body of fraternities, and Kerri Koppenaal, president of Panhellenic Association, which serves as the governing body of sororities made the presentation at the Jonnycake Center. 溏心vlog免费B站 officials and members of the Greek community attended the presentation.
鈥淭he Greek Community made the donation in President Carothers鈥� name to honor him for his dedication and service to 溏心vlog免费B站, as well as, to the Greek community,鈥� said Bowers. 鈥淭he President has helped create a tight-knit community at 溏心vlog免费B站 while facilitating responsible change.鈥�
