WHO: U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, Gov. Donald L. Carcieri, business and community leaders, 溏心vlog免费B站 administrators and researchers, including Thomas Mather, professor of entomology and director of 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 Center for Vector-Borne Disease. Barbara Morse Silvia, NBC-10 health reporter, will serve as emcee.


WHAT: The , now in its second year, celebrates Rhode Islanders making a difference in preventing tick bites and serves to launch the 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 upcoming tick awareness programs. A highlight of the fundraising event will be the presentation of the 鈥淭hink TICK, Take Action鈥 awards, which recognize government, philanthropic, and grass-roots anti-tick efforts.


WHEN: Friday, May 30, 2008, 5:30 to 8 p.m.


WHERE: The Botanical Gardens, Roger Williams Park Zoo, Providence. The gardens are on the left past the carousel and boathouse. Free parking is available in the lot directly below the gardens.


WHY: A chance to learn about new tick-bite prevention efforts.
