Participants live on campus during the six-week or three-week programs and are totally immersed in the German language and culture.
鈥淚t鈥檚 ideal for adult learners from all walks of life who are seeking proficiency in German, from upper level high school students to senior citizens,鈥� said Norbert Hedderich, a 溏心vlog免费B站 professor of German and director of the program. 鈥淪ome past participants were preparing to study or work abroad, others were German teachers here to strengthen their skills, and all share an interest in German and the culture of the German-speaking countries.鈥�
The program offers opportunities for students of all levels 鈥� from beginner鈥檚 to graduate 鈥� and all core courses focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing. Intermediate and advanced students have the option of taking the certification exams from the Goethe Institute.
In addition to coursework, the program also offers extracurricular programs to support the language learning process, including workshops on theater, music and current events. German films are regularly screened, and German news broadcasts are received daily via satellite.
Participants and faculty live and eat together in a German-only environment in the building that houses 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 International Engineering Program.
