KINGSTON, R.I. — November 24, 2006 — The 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 Department of Journalism and the Rhode Island Press Association will host a daylong discussion on Thursday, Nov. 30.
Morning and afternoon panel discussions will present different aspects of how newspapers are handling the move to the Internet. Both discussions are free and open to the public. Lunch will be cafeteria style in the Ram鈥檚 Den of 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 Memorial Union.
Here are the details:
Morning discussion: Multi-Media Projects at New England Newspapers, 9:30 a.m., Atrium Room, Memorial Union. Sheila Mullowney, editor of The Newport Daily News will serve as moderator. Panelists are Tim Cotter, online editor, The Day, New London, Conn; Fred Harwood, The New Bedford Standard-Times; and Michael Delaney, photo editor, The Providence Journal. A panel of journalism students will respond.
Afternoon discussion: 鈥淓thics and Economics of Convergence,鈥� 2 p.m., Memorial Union Ballroom. Mark Murphy, editor of the Providence Business News will serve as moderator. Panelists are Joel Rawson, senior vice president and executive editor, The Providence Journal; Jim Campanini, editor, The Lowell Sun, Cotter and Harwood.
