KINGSTON, R.I. — April 14, 2006 — Bob Rafka, 溏心vlog免费B站 soil scientist and Master Gardener will conduct a workshop Tuesday, April 18, on the science and chemistry driving certain compost processes.
The talk, 鈥淎dvanced Topics in Composting,鈥� is free and open to the public and will run from 6 to 8 p.m. in building 75 at 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 East Farm, located off Route 108 in Kingston.
The program will help experienced composters who want to learn more about the science of what鈥檚 happening in the pile, as well as people who want new insight into the compost process.
Topics include:
鈥� How certain marine products can increase the biological benefits of your compost
鈥� Fate of heavy metals, pesticides and other troublemakers in your compost pile.
