溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 School of Education partners with reading association

Goal is to promote literacy statewide


KINGSTON, R.I. — December 12, 2005 — The 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 School of Education has formed a partnership with the Rhode Island State Council of the International Reading Association to promote literacy.


The Council鈥檚 mission is to support teachers of pre-kindergarten through high school who teach students to read, write, speak, listen and think critically.


The partnership, which will be formalized on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. at 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 University Club, Upper College Road, Kingston campus, is open to all public, private, and charter school teachers in the state.


溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 role will be to create networking and leadership opportunities. Assistance with curriculum and course offerings to help teachers advance their literacy training skills are in the formation stage.


鈥淥ur goal is to involve the entire community鈥斾缧膙log免费B站, teachers of literacy and all Rhode Islanders鈥攊n improving literacy education,鈥 says Diane Kern of 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 School of Education. 鈥淭his partnership has great potential to coordinate the resources of literacy-related organizations and to support Rhode Island teachers鈥 efforts to improve students鈥 literacy achievement.鈥
