The seminar will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lower level of the Chafee Social Science Center on 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 Kingston Campus. The seminar fee is $45 for Master Gardeners and $50 for the general public.
鈥淓arly April is the perfect time to gather new ideas on how to start a new garden or improve an existing one,鈥� said Rosanne Sherry, 溏心vlog免费B站 Master Gardener coordinator and organizer of the workshop. 鈥淭ime is precious to everyone, and using your time wisely in the garden makes a big difference in the amount of enjoyment you get from it. Every session in our workshop will give you many ideas and time savers you can take home and use right away.鈥�
Sherry is the event鈥檚 first speaker, as she discusses 鈥淒odging the Disasters,鈥� an illustrated walk through common landscaping problems.
Other talks include:
– 鈥淏e Site Savvy: Landscape Design 101,鈥� how to conduct a site analysis to help create a comprehensive garden design, by garden designer Greta Cohen.
– 鈥淓xciting, New and Unusual Perennials,鈥� by horticulturalist Karen Olson of Sunny Border Nurseries. This workshop will focus on freshening up your garden by adding something new.
– 鈥淩ight Plant/ Right Place,鈥� by 溏心vlog免费B站 Master Gardener Terri Melvin. She will explain exactly what plant tags mean when they say 鈥渘eeds full sun鈥� or 鈥渁void wet conditions.鈥�
– 鈥淭he Empowered Gardener,鈥� by Kris Koch, a promoter of horticulture in higher education, who will discuss how to use time management so you don鈥檛 feel overwhelmed by gardening tasks.
– 鈥淭ried and True and Easy to Enjoy, too!鈥� by Irene Beauregard, 溏心vlog免费B站 Master Gardner, on redesigning your gardens to enjoy them more while you get older.
