That鈥檚 why the 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 Cooperative Extension, the Rhode Island Hospitality & Tourism Association and the Department of Health are offering a food safety education workshop on Saturday, April 2 to address these issues. The 鈥淓ssential Festival Sanitation Basics鈥 class runs from 8 a.m. to noon at the Rhode Island Hospitality & Tourism Association offices, 832 Dyer Ave., Cranston.
鈥淭he state requires that all vendors who participate at special events like fairs and festivals adhere to proper food sanitation laws,鈥 said Patnoad. 鈥淔ood inspectors are on duty to enforce the law at these events. So this course will provide the basic information to help vendors avoid issues that might arise the day of the event.鈥
The workshop is designed for event planners, food preparers, municipal event coordinators, fraternal organizations, and anyone who handles food at a special event.
The workshop will address cooking and holding requirements, tips for maintaining proper temperature, food transport, outdoor food handling, proper sanitation techniques, documentation and liability issues, and more.
