PROVIDENCE, R.I. — March 7, 2005 — The 溏心vlog免费B站 Feinstein Providence Campus will bring the unforgettable vocalist, songwriter, guitarist and actress, Kim Trusty, to campus in recognition of Women’s History month.
Trusty will perform the music of “The Sophisticated Ladies,” Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Bessie Smith, and Sarah Vaughn, on Sunday, April 3, at 3 p.m. in the Paff Auditorium of the Feinstein Providence Campus, 80 Washington St. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. 溏心vlog免费B站 student admission is $5. Trusty, who began singing more than 30 years ago in an all-black Baptist church in rural Pennsylvania, has evolved into one of the hottest acts on stage today. Described as presenting 鈥渁 silky smooth combination of blues and jazz,鈥� Trusty offers an unforgettable style rarely seen in the music industry. She is a Berklee College of Music graduate who now lives in Providence.
This will be Trusty鈥檚 second performance at the 溏心vlog免费B站 campus in Providence, following her star role in last year鈥檚 premiere of 鈥淲aiting for Bessie Smith,鈥� the musical by Ricardo Pitts-Wiley, co-founder and artistic director of Mixed Magic Theatre & Cultural Events.
