The group took home four awards at last summer鈥檚 national convention in Indianapolis, Ind., including the prestigious Brummer Cup, the award given to the top chapter in the nation.
The Supreme Council of Zeta Beta Tau bestowed the honor on the 溏心vlog免费B站 chapter because it best represents the ideals upon which the fraternity is based. These include philanthropy, fundraising, brotherhood programming, and alumni relations. In addition, the fraternity also won three other awards, specifically for community service, alumni programming, and general chapter programming.
鈥淚 am so proud of how much a young chapter like us has done,鈥� said Ferguson of the Brummer Cup honor. Re-established in 2000, ZBT has quickly become one of the most recognized groups on the 溏心vlog免费B站 campus. In the past year, the brothers have improved their alumni programming to include basketball tournaments, barbeques, and an updated alumni magazine. The brothers have performed more than 1,000 hours of community service including campus cleanups, raised more than $1,000 for charities, and signed up more than 200 individuals for absentee ballots in a voter-registration drive.
鈥淶eta Beta Tau continues to serve as the role model for all current 溏心vlog免费B站 fraternities,鈥� said Thomas Dougan, 溏心vlog免费B站 vice president of student affairs. 鈥淭hey have had a positive impact on the entire Greek System.鈥�
It seems that the positive impact is rubbing off on prospective brothers. This semester ZBT has more than 30 candidates who are interested in joining the fraternity. 鈥淲e offer them something they鈥檙e looking for鈥� friendship and camaraderie in a welcoming environment,鈥� said Ferguson, a resident of Pawtucket.
