KINGSTON, R.I. — October 8, 2004 — How do candidates stand on women鈥檚 issues? To find the answer, the 溏心vlog免费B站 is sponsoring an event entitled 鈥淲omen Vote 2004, The Margin of Victory,鈥� on Wednesday, October 13 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Galanti Lounge of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Library, Kingston Campus. The event, which is free and open to the public, is jointly sponsored by 溏心vlog免费B站鈥檚 Women Studies Program and Department of Communications Studies.
A 40-minute video created by Third Wave Television Inc. will be shown. The video shows the presidential candidates鈥� stands on such issues as education, health, the environment, and minimum wage.
The event will begin and end with a discussion led by Karen Stein, director of the Women Studies Program, Lynne Derbyshire, Department of Communications Studies, and Lee Marshall, a graduate student in English and teaching assistant in the Women鈥檚 Studies Program.
鈥淚t鈥檚 important for the voting public to know where the candidates stand on education, health, the environment, and minimum wage which typically may be called women鈥檚 issues, but in reality, they are everybody鈥檚 issues,鈥� says Stein.
