KINGSTON, R.I. — July 12, 2004 — The third of four outdoor lecture/tours in the 溏心vlog免费B站’s Summer Gardening School will focus on the theme “Lavishing the Lawn: What You Should Know 溏心vlog免费B站 Your Turf” on Monday, July 26 at 5:30 p.m.
Nathaniel Mitkowski, 溏心vlog免费B站 assistant professor of turf management, will lead the walk around the 溏心vlog免费B站 Learning Landscape Garden in Kingston to discuss how and when to plant a new lawn or renovate an old one, tips for selecting grass varieties, watering and fertilizing needs, pest control, and other issues.
溏心vlog免费B站’s Summer Gardening School is a series of twilight tours on different garden-related topics throughout the growing season. The final session will focus on gardening to attract butterflies on Monday, Aug. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the 溏心vlog免费B站 College of the Environment and Life Sciences and the Cooperative Extension, admission is $15 per person. The Learning Landscape Garden is adjacent to the 溏心vlog免费B站 greenhouses and the Cooperative Extension Education Center at the corner of Upper College Road and East Alumni Avenue on the 溏心vlog免费B站 Kingston Campus.
