KINGSTON, R.I — September 5, 2003 — The äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ is offering a seminar on wealth protection. Anyone interested in how to avoid the five most common estate planning mistakes, or how to protect a pension or IRA from the 80 percent tax trap, or how to protect yourself, your retirement, or your inheritance from escalating long-term care costs should plan to attend. Christopher Jarvis, a nationally known author and financial planner who specializes in asset protection, tax reduction, and estate planning will offer his advice and share his knowledge about these subjects and more during a visit to his alma mater this month. Jarvis earned a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ in 1992. He also holds a master’s in business administration in finance and entrepreneurial studies from UCLA.

Jarvis will offer the seminar twice: on Friday, Sept. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 9 to 11 a.m. Each of the seminars will be held in äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBվ’s newly renovated Ballentine Hall, home of äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBվ’s College of Business Administration.
