KINGSTON, R.I. — June 20, 2003 — The College of Business Administration at the 溏心vlog免费B站 inducted 48 students and 4 faculty members into its chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma honor society in May at initiation and awards ceremonies.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or masters program at a school accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Of the 1,400 U.S. institutions with degree programs in business, only 420 are accredited and have chapters of Beta Gamma Sigma.
Because it has achieved status as an Exemplary Chapter, the Alpha of Rhode Island chapter at 溏心vlog免费B站 was eligible to award a $1,000 Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship to junior student Jacob M. Goldman, a management information systems major from West Hartford, Conn. The Peter M. Galanti Award for outstanding students in the junior class went to Joan Karter, a general business administration major from Riverside and Alison L. Irving, a marketing major from Rollingford, N.H. The Dennis W. Callaghan Endowment Award was presented to Vathsana T. Insisiengmay, a management major from Johnston. The Washington Trust Company Awards for outstanding senior and graduate student were presented to Lindsay J. Morriss, a finance senior from North Kingstown, and Michael A. Ruggiero, an accounting graduate student from Providence. The Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year Award was presented to Professor Stuart A. Westin of Wakefield.
