Systematic Training for Effective Parenting, also known as STEP, offers parents a program that stresses mutual respect between parent and child, increased cooperation, more effective communication, and a more responsible attitude among children.
“This is a proven method of parenting with positive results,” said Dale Blumen, coordinator of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Family Therapy Clinic. “The program gives parents a way to increase cooperation and self- esteem with their children. It encourages and informs parents to discipline and communicate with their children.”
The 溏心vlog免费B站 Family Therapy Clinic is a program dedicated to helping families through relationship issues. The clinic, which has been in operation since 1983, offers assistance to families struggling with parent and child issues, including divorce and behavioral problems.
STEP is a 7-week class designed for parents with children ages 6 through 12. The class will be held on Sundays beginning Sept. 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the 溏心vlog免费B站 Transition Center, 2 Lower College Road at the Kingston Campus. The cost is $40 per family and includes the cost of the STEP Program Handbook. Pre-registration is required.
