KINGSTON, R.I. — October 11, 2000 — High school seniors and their families are invited to the äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾’s Kingston Campus to “Meet the University” this fall. The sessions will take place on Friday, Oct. 27, and Nov. 10 and on Saturday Oct. 28 and Nov. 11. All programs will be held in Edwards Auditorium.
The Saturday programs begin with registration and refreshments at 9:30 a.m. and end at about 1 p.m. The Friday afternoon program will begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at about 4 p.m.
“Meet the University” is designed to give prospective students and their parents the opportunity to learn more about admissions, financial aid, special services, internships, study abroad offerings, and academic advising.
The informational sessions will feature all of äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾’s colleges, including University College in which all first- and second-year students are enrolled. The events will begin with a welcome address by äçÐÄvlogÃâ·ÑBÕ¾ President Robert L. Carothers and will be followed by tours of the campus and an informational fair in the Memorial Union. Faculty, administrators, and students will be available to answer questions.
